FBR27 is a Future Builders Research Lab. We design autonomous robots, neural interfaces, sustainable energy modules and wild prototypes that actually work outside the lab.

FBR27.xyz started in 2019 as three engineers in a garage with a 3D printer and a crazy idea: stop writing papers, start shipping machines. Today we are 40+ roboticists, designers, biologists and welders operating from a 2,400 m² bunker-lab.
From napkin sketch to field deployment in 90 days. Six core tracks, one integrated pipeline.
RoboticsAll-terrain UGVs, 6-axis arms, SLAM navigation, ROS2 stacks. Payloads up to 120 kg, IP67.
Edge AICustom YOLO, depth fusion, 12 TOPS on 15W. Works offline in tunnels, forests, deserts.
DronesVTOL, 90 min flight, mesh swarm, thermal + LiDAR. Mapping, delivery, search & rescue.
WearablesSoft exosuits boosting lift by 35%, bionic hands under $900. Tested with real workers.
EnergySolar + solid-state batteries, 5kWh in a backpack. Powers a whole camp for 3 days.
Bio-TechMycelium composites, living sensors, self-healing coatings grown in our bio corner.

5-axis CNC, metal 3D printing, carbon layup. 400+ parts per week.
64 GPUs training vision models on 12M field images.
-40°C to +60°C, dust, rain, vibration. If it lives here, it lives anywhere.
Roof drone port + rover obstacle course with 27 traps.
Our infamous FBR Sprint. Brutal, fast, transparent. You watch every weld on livestream.
We live with the problem. Interview users, break existing solutions, define kill-criteria. No slides, only field notes.
Cardboard, duct tape, Arduino. 10 versions in 10 days. 9 go to trash. One survives.
CAD, CNC, PCB, AI training. Daily torture tests. Livestreamed failures included.
Real users, real mud. Telemetry dashboard, repair manual, open-source release. Handover + training.

“FBR27 delivered in 3 months what our previous contractor couldn’t in 2 years. Their rover still runs after 11,000 km in a quarry.”
Failures, breakthroughs, telemetry dumps. Updated weekly by the engineers themselves.

Solar + solid-state combo delivers. Full telemetry inside.

Our coffee machine is powered by a rover battery. It survived 3 winters. The espresso is excellent, the telemetry is better.
Have a field problem? A crazy idea? Need a robot that works when everything else fails? Write to the lab.

Tell us about your mission. We answer with a plan, not a price list.
